Hello, hello! I’m Sarah Day, Founder & Director of One Day Film Productions.
If you’ve just discovered me and have had a little poke around my site, firstly, thank you!
And secondly, it’s time to exchange pleasantries and get to know each other a little more.
I live in Alcester in Warwickshire with my wonderful husband, Jimi, and our son, Tommy.
I have spent most of my adult life with a camera of some sort in my hand. And, after many years of making amateur promotional videos, keepsake films for friends and family, including weddings, I decided to go professional and it’s the best decision I ever made.
Why I do what I do…
Well I didn’t have a videographer at my wedding and for someone who really values keepsake items and has multiple memory boxes, I’ll kick myself forever for not investing. I don’t want that for you hun!
I want you to be able to watch your film back and re-live all your gorgeous memories, but not only that, I want you to see a true reflection of yourselves and your story in your film. I believe in years to come, you’ll want to be able to watch that film and feel like ‘home’, that it was all you. Your decision to have the outfit you wanted, the flowers those colours, the cake design you chose.
Your decision to wear your hair like that, to do the speeches in that order and to do a portrait session that felt like you as a couple rather than just the standard. Whatever you choose to do I believe it’s essential that “you do you hun”, because you’ll love every frame of that film if you do. My purpose is to help my couples stand out, be loud and proud and not feel silly for wanting to do something a bit different. The more I get to know you as a couple, the better I can tell your love story on film and you get to re-live all those gorgeous memories over and over, forevermore.
Fun Facts
A few things you should know, so you’re aware of what you’re getting into…
- I’m a huge cat lover – Buddy is a brilliant video editing assistant!
- If I’m not behind the camera, I’m running after my 3-year-old mini-me…
- I wanted to be an actress growing up!
- The first film I ever made was a remake of the Spice Girls movie, it was a huge hit and the feedback from the public was incredible (I was 9 and the feedback was from my parents…)
